There are many times you may wish to make a gift to one of Beth Shalom's congregational funds.
General Fund - supplements dues and fundraising projects by the congregation, Brotherhood and Sisterhood. All funds go to the general operation of the synagogue.
Building Fund - used to care for future needs, alterations and maintenance of our building and grounds. Classrooms or other major donations ($10,000+) may be dedicated in memory of or in honor of someone(s) by calling the office.
Cemetery Fund - Liberal Synagogue Cemetery is located on Florida Blvd. Plots may be reserved for $1,000 (members) or $2,500 (non-members). This fee includes Perpetual Care. There is a a suggested donation to the Synagogue of $100, as well as a donation to the Rabbi for professional services.
Mose Wander Memorial & Stanley Stein Education Funds - used to purchase materials, equipment and provider scholarships to the Religious and Hebrew Schools.
Rosalyn G. Liss Endowment Fund - used to present an award for Academic Excellence to a sixth grader in our Religious School.
Youth Scholarship Fund - enables Beth Shalom to assist in sending our teenagers to NFTY Institutes, Southern Regional Conclaves, leadership weekends and Israel, and/or to send children to Jacob's Camp and to assist with Religious School and Hebrew School tuition.
Alvin B. Rubin Institute for Adult Education - established by Louis and Rosalyn Liss to foster continuing Judaic studies.
Marks Fellman Memorial Library Fund - used to purchase new books and equipment, and to assist in maintaining the library.
Mitzvah Fund - used to send Passover food baskets and Rosh Hashanah holiday packages to our home-bound members.
Rabbi's Discretionary Fund - funds to be used at the discretion of the Rabbi. Monies have been used to subsidize our youth for Jacob's Camp, Israel and Religious School trips. Also used by the Rabbi to assist with establishing programs for the Synagogue, Synagogue-related travel and Tzedakah.
