In lieu of the traditional Sunday Religious School, Jewish Journeys aims to show the beauty and richness of Judaism to all ages. This is most definitely not your parents' religious school! In fact, it's not a school at all. It's an experiential journey through the fascinating space and time of Judaism, as demonstrated by Jewish holidays, history and heroes.
Jewish Journeys has something for every child, from infant to teen. This year, Jewish Journeys will be free for everyone in the community, including members and non-members of Beth Shalom. Everyone is welcome and we are eager to speak with you about your family's specific educational needs.
Central to Jewish Journeys for 5778 is Shabbat Yeladim (previously known as Tot Shabbat). This fun, interactive Shabbat celebration for families with young children will feature a KID-ish breakfast, crafts, music and movement filled services and play time on our playground.
Shabbat Yeladim begins at 9 am on these Saturdays in 2018: May 12.
Come celebrate Israel's 70th birthday with us at our Yom Ha'atzmaut Party at Beth Shalom Synagogue! Activities will include an inflatable slide, "Pin the Flag on Jerusalem", Magen David Handprint Art, and special guest storyteller Frank Levy! For more information about Frank, his website is www.storiesinmotion.com. Sunday, April 29th from 12-3 pm.
